White Paper: Women’s Health Is a Readiness Issue

Addressing Health Disparities in the U.S. Military

In 2020, HealthyWomen launched the Ready, Healthy & Able program to address the health disparities that exist for active-duty servicewomen and service members assigned female at birth (AFAB). This white paper outlines the existing healthcare barriers in the military health system, the components and outcomes of HealthyWomen’s program, and actionable solutions that constituents can take to help improve health outcomes for servicewomen and service members AFAB.
